The 2021 Cadillac Escalade starts its fifth generation with a thorough redesign. A new independent rear suspension, updated interior technology, attractive styling, and optional diesel-powered engine are part of its new generation. It’s a three-row large luxury SUV that comes in five trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum. We are going to compare the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims.
Luxury
The Escalade Luxury trim offers premium features throughout its cabin and under the hood, including the impressive 38-inch curved OLED display, breaking down to a three-screen digital display of a 16.9-inch main infotainment screen, a 14.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 7.2-inch touch screen that functions as the driver information display. Additional features include 22-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels with Bright silver Finish, an AKG 19-speaker Studio sound system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, HD surround vision, front pedestrian braking, and rear pedestrian alert. Second-row captain’s chairs and seating for seven come standard and you can also move up the seating to eight by switching to a middle bench seat. A tremendous cargo space will give you 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third-row seats, 72.9 cubic feet with the third row folded down, and 121 cubic feet of space when all seats are folded down. The extended-wheelbase will open that space up to 142.8 cubic feet. Its interior features synthetic leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, power-folding and heated second-row seats, driver’s seat memory settings, and a power-folding third row. All Escalades come with a 6.2-liter V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) or an available Duramax 3.0-liter diesel engine. Starting price is $76,195.

The Premium Luxury adds onto the Luxury trim with additional safety features including Driver Awareness Plus, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change alert with side blindzone alert, lane keep assist with lane-departure warning, rear camera mirror with remote wash, full-color head-up display and an available SuperCruise driver assistance feature. The SuperCruise will make hands-free driving on certain highways simple. The Premium Luxury features the same 22-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels, but with polished finish. A panoramic sunroof is also featured on the Premium Luxury, along with genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, automatic parking assist, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. You can add the Driver Assist Tech package that includes power soft-closing doors, an adaptive air suspension, reverse automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic seat belt tightening. A Performance package adds an electronic limited-slip differential, Magnetic Ride Control adjustable suspension, a trailer brake controller, a hitch-view camera, and trailer blind spot monitoring. Starting price is $83,195.
Sport
The Sport goes on the dark side, but with an upscale ride and sporty exterior styling. It is also available with the optional features found in the Premium Luxury trim. It features unique sport styling with Gloss-Black grille, accents, and body molding. The Sport comes with 22-inch 12-spoke polished alloy-wheels with Dark Android finish. A Trailering Integration Package, Magnetic ride control, electronic limited slip differential and the Performance Package are included with this trim. Starting price is $85,895.
