If you are looking for a large luxury SUV that offers elegant styling, high-end materials, and an enjoyable ride, then the 2020 Cadillac Escalade is for you. Let’s see how it stacks up to the competition with the 2020 BMW X7. Come take a look at Reliable Cadillac and see for yourself.
Design
Leather upholstery is standard in this luxury SUV, as well as a heated steering wheel, ventilated and heated front-row seats with 12-way power adjustments, heated second-seats, and a power-folding third row. The 2020 Cadillac Escalade seats up to eight people, with spacious rows for adults to sit comfortably. It takes roominess and comfort to the next level with the Escalade ESV. The Escalade will add additional rear passenger leg/head room and cargo space with the long-wheelbase. You’ll enjoy up to 94.2 cubic feet with both rear rows down for your cargo needs. The long-wheel base will give you 120.9 cubic feet maximum cargo capacity. The Escalade has one of the highest tow ratings in its class and can tow up to 8,300 pounds.
The BMW X7 is comfortable with seating for seven or an optional six-seat layout. It comes standard with heated 16-way power-adjustable fronts seats. You can upgrade to 20-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilating and massaging functions, and heated rear seats. The BMW X7 comes with quality materials that include metal and wood accents, and a leather-trimmed dashboard. Synthetic leather upholstery comes standard, and genuine leather is available. When both rear seats are folded down, you will get 90.4 cubic feet of cargo room. Its towing capabilities are up to 7,500 lbs. when properly equipped

Plenty of technology features are available for upgrading your Cadillac.
The BMW X7’s basic setup features a 12.3-in iDrive infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, 10 speakers, Bluetooth, and three USB ports. It also includes a Wi-Fi hot spot, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and additional USB ports for back-seat passengers. There are several packages available if you need more upgrades than these.
Power
The Escalade offers a strong engine. With every trim level, the Escalade comes with a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission, providing plenty of power for all your driving needs. Acceleration is quick and the transmission shifts well, making for a smooth ride. The Escalade earns an estimated 14/23 mpg in the city and on the highway with its powerful engine. Pricing for this luxury SUV starts at $75,195 for the entry-level Escalade and ranges to $92,295 for the high-end Escalade Platinum.
There are three engine choices with the 2020 BMW X7. With all of them, an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. The base xDrive40i models have a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 335 hp. The midlevel xDrive50i model has a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 456 horsepower. The upper-level X7 M50i has a 523-hp version of that V8 engine, which we think is slightly overkill. The base model gets an estimated 20/25 city mpg and highway, but going to the V8, it will drop to 15/21 mpg city and highway. Pricing for this large SUV starts at $73,900 for the xDrive40i and ranges to $99,600 for the M50i. Additional packages and features add up pretty quickly to these prices.
