The 2025 Buick Electra is an all-new electric SUV lineup. It probably won’t be here until late 2024, so we don’t know a lot about it at the moment. But our preview guide does its best to give you a good idea of what these upcoming EVs are all about.
What is the 2025 Buick Electra?
Buick says that, instead of a single model, the Electra will be the automaker’s brand of electric SUVs. The first Electra model will arrive in 2025, borrowing a platform from the Cadillac Lyriq EV. According to Buick, the first Electra SUV will be styled much like the Wildcat EV Concept sports coupe, a stunner with a uniquely sleek design.
How far is the 2025 Buick Electra’s driving range?
Since we expect the upcoming Electra to host the Ultium battery pack, we also expect it will be able to travel 300 miles or more between charges. These EVs may offer single or dual-motor setups, the latter of which would be the equivalent of traditional all-wheel drive. However, we’ll have to wait and see what the Electra’s official spec sheet holds.
Is the 2025 Buick Electra a luxury EV?
Considering Buick’s reputation for upscale cruising and the estimated MSRPs for these EVs, we’d say they’re bound to be very luxurious indeed. If these Buicks are like other models, there will be three Electra trim models: the entry-level Preferred, middling Essence, and top-tier Avenir.
The typical Buick standard lineup is pretty impressive, and we can expect the Electra to deliver much of the same. This new model will likely include lots of standard safety aids, such as blind-spot monitoring and forward collision mitigation. Infotainment should also come standard, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a central touchscreen.
In other Buicks, you can climb the trim models to enjoy greater interior luxury. Features like remote engine start, leather upholstery, and power-adjustable, heated front seats should all be available, if not standard.
But, remember, we don’t know what we don’t know! As soon as we learn more about which features each Electra will offer, we’ll update this space accordingly.
How much will the 2025 Buick Electra cost?
We don’t know for sure how much these EV models will cost, especially since Buick is planning to make not just a single model, but an entire line of sports-utility EVs. Since this first SUV will be heavily influenced by the Wildcat EV Concept, we expect it to be pretty luxurious, with a starting price around $50,000. But stay tuned, because we expect to learn more about these stunning EVs in 2023, with production slated to begin in late 2024 for the 2025 model year! Keep in mind prices are subject to change.
