Let's break down their details, so you can make the best decision possible for you and your family.

- SLT: $66,895
- AT4: $73,500

It should be noted that the 2024 Acadia is new to the market. It became available in June of this year.
What is the Length of the 2024 GMC Acadia?
While the Acadia’s length has increased by 10.6 inches, it is still the smaller of the two SUVs by a half-foot and is considerably slimmer. But that size difference doesn’t diminish it in any way. In fact, it’s a great choice for navigating tight parking spaces. It also has a smaller turning radius than the GMC Yukon, which makes it easier to get in and out of any parking spot.
The Acadia has less room for cargo and passengers due to its smaller size. It seats seven to the Yukon’s nine. Back seat passengers have more room to move in the Yukon than they do in the Acadia for the simple fact that it has more leg- and head-room.
The Yukon can carry more cargo with up to 94.7 cubic feet of space when the rear seats are down. The Acadia is still, nevertheless, impressive with a maximum volume of 79 cubic feet of cargo space.
Is the 2024 GMC Yukon Powerful?
As the Yukon is the bigger truck, it should be no secret that its engine is more powerful than the Acadia’s. It features a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine delivering 355 horsepower. There’s also an available 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 generating 420 horses for even more get up and go. The Yukon can tow up to 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.
The Acadia, however, is no slouch in this department. While it used to offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and naturally aspirated V6, in ‘24, there’s a single option available—a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder motor, delivering 328 horsepower. Its maximum towing capacity is 4,000 pounds when properly equipped, which leaves you with more than enough oomph to tow camping gear.
Is the 2024 GMC Acadia Fuel Efficient?
Another area where size matters is in fuel efficiency. The Acadia gets better gas mileage than the Yukon, allowing you to make fewer stops while on your journey. It gets an estimated 24 MPG city/30 MPG highway.
While not as efficient, the Yukon still manages a remarkable 21 MPG city/27 MPG highway.
Interior Creature Comforts
Both SUVs are comfortable, but the Yukon is a hair more elegant than the Acadia and features leather hand-stitched upholstery, wood-trimmed dashboard. In terms of amenities, a heated steering wheel and heated/cooled seats. The Acadia has a modern feel but with fewer features. It is nevertheless comfortable and intuitive with a sleek overall design.
Is the 2024 GMC Acasia a Good SUV?
If you’re on a budget or need something small to maneuver around town, the Acadia may very well be your best bet. However, if your priority is a powerhouse SUV that can tow just about anything you can think of, the Yukon should be your choice. Come in our showroom and experience both for yourself!
