Cadillac has been a name synonymous with luxury for decades, and the 2024 Cadillac XT4 SUV is very much a part of that lineage. Let’s take a look at the differences between this year to see what’s changed and what stayed the same.
What's New for the 2024 Cadillac XT4?
The XT4 was introduced to the Cadillac lineup with great fanfare in 2018. After its sixth model year, the XT4 received a much-needed refresher. The SUV now features a new front fascia and reworked LED lights that made it look a bit bolder and somewhat like the XT6 and Lyriq EV. Some new wheel designs were implemented, as were minor changes to the SUV’s rear.
Interior-wise, the XT4 now features the Lyriq's massive 33.0-inch infotainment display, which stretches solidly across the dashboard and runs the latest version of Google's Android Automotive software, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 13-speaker AKG stereo system is now available as an option, and the XT4’s hotspot has been upgraded to 5G.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 has three trims for ‘24—the Luxury, the Premium Luxury and the Sport. Its dimensions are:
- Length: 181.1 inches
- Width: 76.7 inches
- Height: 63.2 inches (Luxury trim)/64.1 inches (Premium Luxury and Sport trims)
- Cargo Capacity: 48.9 cubic feet
What Engine is Seen in the 2024 Cadillac XT4?
Every model features a powerful 2.0-L turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel-drive configuration, however all-wheel drive is available as an upgrade. The XT4’s engine generates 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque on premium gas and offers 24/29/26 MPG (City/Highway/Combined) in fuel capacity with front-wheel drive.
Adding to its great mileage is the XT4’s Active Fuel Management system, which reduces fuel consumption by temporarily deactivating some of its engine cylinders, a Drive Mode Selector, allowing you to change how you respond to certain driving conditions. Tour, Sport, and Snow/Ice modes are available on all levels.
How Much Can the 2024 Cadillac XT4 Tow?
The Cadillac XT4 may be on the smaller side, but still packs a respectable punch when it comes to towing. It has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds with its top trim, the Sport, allowing you to haul whatever you need to make your work day productive or adventure time more fun!
To tow bigger items like boats or campers, you’ll need the XT4’s towing package. It includes a 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, a heavy-duty cooling system, a hitch cover and wiring harness. You’ll also have access to XT4’s HD Surround Vision camera, so you can see what you’re towing at different angles while on the road.
