Power

Safety Tech
GMC Pro Safety is offered which includes: forward-collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front-pedestrian braking, lane-change alert, side blind-zone alert, following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Trailer blind-zone alert and adaptive cruise control is also available.
The 2022 GMC Canyon doesn’t offer much in terms of safety technology. It does, however, have a Driver Assistance Package that includes lane-departure warning and rear-parking sensors.
Interior
Sierra models with front bucket seats now have the gear-selector lever located on the top of the center console. Available 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 13.4-inch diagonal color touchscreen and 15-inch head-up display. Leather seats, door panels, instrument panel. The front seats have a massaging feature and the Denali Ultimate brings even more to the table. Including, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, rear camera mirror, power sunroof and a 15-inch head-up display.
The ATX4 is the golden child of the trims with its extra impressive features. It includes leather upholstery and the 6.2-liter V8 engine, multi-matic shocks, increased suspension and a 2-speed transfer case with driving modes make it great for off-roading. Plus e-locking differentials in the front and rear, skid plates and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Canyon is more focused on simplicity and function rather than pizazz. It includes an upright instrument panel, plastic toggle switches and a jumbo shifter that clutters the center console. The front seat is pretty spacious but the back seat can be cramped, especially with 3 adults.
Exterior
In terms of exterior, GMC has made a few styling changes like a new grille and headlights, tailored to each trim. Another cool feature is the Multipro tailgate with several options for your needs. A bed step, work table bed extender and basic tailgate are some examples.
The exterior is especially impressive with the New Denali Black edition with: low-gloss-black 20-inch rims, black assist steps, gloss-black exhaust tips and all-weather floor liners.
