Design
The next generation Sierra 2500 Heavy Duty truck comes in 2WD and 4WD Crew Cab and Double Cab models, with a 6’9” standard bed or available 8’ long bed, and the Regular Cab in a 8’ long bed. The Sierra has a roomy interior with high quality materials, extra-wide beds, and handy built-in steps for easy access, as well as 12 cargo tie-downs. It seats five comfortably and offers plenty of head and legroom, with crew models providing nearly three inches of additional rear-seat legroom. Sierra’s bold design is apparent in its sculpted headlamps, prominent hood, and distinctive grilles.
The 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty is a full-size, heavy-duty pickup available in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited – all trims but the King Ranch are configured as a regular cab, an extended cab, or a crew cab with either a 6.8- or 8.2-foot bed length. The basic interiors are pretty bare bones, but offer air conditioning, vinyl upholstery, and manual windows. Higher level models offer features such as a panoramic sunroof, a two-tone leather interior, cooled front seats, and ambient lighting.
Power and Price
The Sierra 2500 HD delivers a good amount of power, hauling, and towing capabilities. It comes standard with 401-hp and 464 lb-ft of torque 6.6-liter gas V8 engine. This engine provides an increase in horsepower and torque compared to the previous 6.0-liter gas engine. An optional turbocharged 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 with 446 hp and 910 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with a new Allison 10-speed automatic transmission is available. This new transmission provides closer gear spacing than before, allowing the engine to operate in an optimal range at all times. These changes help the GMC perform at its peak, with a maximum tow rating of up to 18,500 lbs. and a maximum Gross Combination Weight Rating of up to 27,500 lbs. Depending on your trim, Sierra HD offers a maximum payload of up to 3,979 lbs. The Ford F-250 towing capacity reaches 22,800 pounds when properly equipped and a payload of up to 4,323 pounds. Pricing starts at $33,700 for the XL and ranges to a starting price of $83,600 for the Limited
